The stats for fall off in viewership are VERY useful for planning purposes — and as you said, not just for overall length, but working harder to engage EARLY and FAST … and keep the viewer on the slippery slope.

I too checked out David's Web Video University based on your recommendation. GREAT stuff over there — learned several tips (and I've been Executive Producer of nearly 30 high end video training program for our People Builders series and other training programs.

You say "far cheaper", but as far as i know, TubeMogul is free, your service is paid. Inexpensive for sure, but not free. What am I missing?

This "quick and snappy" approach to video is just as important as writing articles, blog posts, newsletters, ezines, etc. I'm going to edit down as much as possible, and focus on what I think will make the fastest connection and impact on viewers and readers.
