What is the difference between "Landing page" and "sales Page"?

  2. Lois Reid says:

I took three pages of notes. Great webinar filled with content (I could not write quickly enough), I need to catch some more on the replay. I suggest that you listen to it more than once. One take away for me was the C=4M+3V+ 2(i-f) – 2A. I had never seen this before.

  3. Wayne says:

Dave, I don't know if this will help you out or not. (This is also a question to Lou and Bob).

I'm coming out with a product of 10 songs. On my site I'm going to have the lyrics available on HTML pages (for those who just want to see them but not print them; most likely before buying, and as an incentive to buy) and also as a download that can be printed (for those who want printed lyrics of specific songs, most likely after they buy). There will also be short sound samples of each track.

Question: Should my copy still have the amount of testimonies you suggest, or to what extent would it be overkill, because, in this case, potential clients could actually see all the words and hear song samples firsthand, and therefore be able to decide for themselves, without "relying" upon testimonials?

    Thanks!

  4. Sherley says:

What do you mean by list swap; would you explain this process pls. Thanks for a great session!

  5. Dave says:

In light of the huge growth in smartphones, …Do you make any modifications to your pages in anticipation of mobile devices viewing them…. Are you looking at anything other than Flash to do your video content?

  6. gzajac says:

I use a popup blocker most of the time when I'm browsing. Suggested alternatives to the development/use of popups?

  7. Paul Mannone says:

    Hi Lou,
Great seminar…. Kudos to you and Bob.
A question I have: When entering a new market and you don't have a related list, how would you approach JV partners to get them to market your products through their lists?
    Cheers,
    Paul M.

  8. Tshombe says:

Thank you, Bob & Lou. AMAZING, practical and actionable content.

  9. Q: How does Bob use auto responder series? Does he mean that once someone gives him their email, he sends this series of emails, which over time provide a good amount of content and convinces the person that they want to work with him?

  10. Ulrika S says:

    Thanks,
This was great, a bit fast but lots of quality, lots to learn from this, very clear and concise
List Swap and confidentiality ''We don't share it '', what about that?
    Ulrika

  11. Tom says:

When you offer a webinar, what ratio is considered acceptable between the amount of signups you get compared to how many people show up live to the webinar?

  12. Walethia says:

I love the list swap. That ideal I'm going to implement immediately.

  13. Tshombe says:

The copywriter Bob referenced is Parris Lampropoulos (Re: how to write good bullets)

  14. Walethia says:

What really inspired me is the information Bob shared about the number of times we can email our list a offer. And I have a better understanding of email marketing.

  15. Lou, there are three pages of questions and comments. Maybe you are only looking on the first page?

  16. Martha says:

Takeaway: short email lead to long sales letter

  17. Tshombe says:

sorry about that Lou! Thought I was supposed to add notes :-)

  18. Eugene says:

Superb content and too many brilliant idea!

Thanks Lou and Bob for sharing your expertise!

    Great learning today!

  19. Jazz Singh says:

    Hey Bob and Lou

I’m listening from the UK and the local time is now 3am. The quality of the contents of this webinar have kept me up way past my beauty sleep time. But I’d rather be ugly and enlightened than handsome and ignorant. Way to go guys :)

  20. Ulrika S says:

    Hi again,
About List Swaps, I was asking about the ethical of it?
    Ulrika S
    Thanks

    • Lou D'Alo says:

Can't think of anything unetchical about it.

It's like me saying to Bob: "Can I send an email to my list suggesting they check out your newsletter"?

Then I'd send my list an email saying "Hey, I really love Bob's newsletter – check it out".

And, if Bob feels good about recommending my newsletter, he'd do the same in return.

Note: We are not sharing or giving away emails. We are emailing to our own internal permission-based subscriber list, and referring them to a resource. The subscribers still have the choice to optin or not. If they don't, they won't see any emails from our partner.

  21. darren says:

    great content. thx guys.

  22. Dave says:

Did anyone get the full URL for the spamassassin page that was mentioned in the webinar?

  23. Ulrika S says:

    For me everything was important
I will go to the DVD, check it out
This was of great help and inspiration

  24. Kym says:

G'day Lou. A fantastic call. Would you please share the mobi URL again.

    Kym

  25. Bob's detailed Instructions on "the" Email and landing page helped demystify how to write a very useful email and landing page. Now I know why we are encouraged to do what.
    Very clear, very helpful.
    Thank you, Lou and Bob!
    Warmly,
    Nicki

  26. Tshombe says:

The frequency of your E-Zine determines how often subscribers tolerate promotional emails. For example, if your Ezine is monthly, you probably can mail an additional 1 to 2 emails a week.

    Remember to test!

  27. Tshombe says:

I thought it was interesting that Bob puts his bonuses in the "PS". I've not seen that before, but it makes sense because I always read PS-es.

  28. Kym says:

G'day Lou. A fantastic call. Would you please share the mobi URL again.

  29. Elizabeth says:

I really appreciate the info on setting up a Landing Page – prehead especially useful. Thanks to Bob and Lou for this fine webinar.
    Elizabeth

  30. Cheri says:

I will certainly listen to the call again. It was so helpful and inspiring that I sent my first email message to my list in 3 months the next morning.

  31. Edward says:

    Lou!

Really Amazing webinar last night! Really liked the supporting stats behind the campaigns and would love a copy of the transcription. Thanks, Ed

  32. Mimi P-F says:

I am really surprised that it's ok to offer so many sales emails in relation to ezines but it is good to know. Everything he said about what works are the same things that make me buy offers I get.

I saw Bob speak at the Learning Annex many, many years ago about making a living as a Freelance business writer – glad to see he's become even more successful.

  33. Mimi P-F says:

Thanks for answering my question about not being manipulative in sales effort – Bob's answer was completely what I needed to hear. Also like his guideline of offering 10x the value in comparison to asking price of a product. This was a great call.

  34. darren says:

wow, great call. glad I asked about email headlines. thought it might have been covered already. thx to you both.
